Ernie and Hadleigh March 26, 2008

Today was such a beautiful day I decided to head outside and take some cute pictures of my favorite dogs.  Hadleigh, the family bulldog, was not excited about being disturbed from her afternoon nap, so she decided to close her eyes the whole time I was photographing her.  This is a regular occurrence with her, she’s more of a morning dog.  I adopted Ernie about 3 months ago and so he’s learning what it takes to be the dog of a photographer.  I love the way he looks at the camera, you feel like he’s going to start talking to you.  I snapped a shot of myself at the end of the session, my hair was a mess, but at least I didn’t get sunburned like I did last Saturday.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep March 20, 2008

I’ve been thinking a lot over the past few months about how I can give back to the community through photography. Lots of thoughts popped into my head but when I came across the organization Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, I knew I had found something that will impact peoples lives forever. NILMDTS is an organization that provides parents with beautiful photographs of their dying new born baby to preserve their memory forever. Most parents don’t even think about having their child’s picture taken because of all the grief and pain they are experiencing, but as a photographer I want to provide photos for these parents to help them heal their hearts and provide something for them to cherish forever. If you want to see more about this organization go to www.nilmdts.com
