My first pregnancy shoot April 28, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 6:15 pm

I had my first pregnancy shoot last week in my studio with the most beautiful pregnant woman you have ever seen.  Since this was my first pregnancy shoot, I told her she was my guinea pig and to just bare with me.  I designed most of the shots ahead of time and then told her what to bring with her to the shoot.  I have a couple images on my website, but once I get everything edited, I will add all of my favorite shots to my maternity gallery.  Here are some of my favorite images.

This is my favorite image, she is so beautfiul and peaceful.

Jadon Part 2 April 25, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 11:03 am

Jadon and his mom came to my studio to do the second part of his portfolio shoot and this time we switched to the outdoors since everything is so beautiful. The light was just perfect and of course Jadon was once again the perfect model. Towards the end of the shoot Hadleigh decided to make a guest appearance and stuck around for a few of the shots that actually ended up being pretty cute.

Hadleigh was being so patient.

You can see the bubble popping on his head!

fish eye April 17, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 5:05 pm

I rented a fish eye lense yesterday because I’ve been wanting one for a long time and I thought it would be good for me to play around with one for a couple days to make sure that’s what I really wanted.  I took my Profoto 7b power pack outside for the lighting and put the fish eye lense on my camera and started playing around.  Here are some of the images from the session, I’m going to put the rest of them images up on my website tomorrow.

I think she was trying to tell me to leave her alone because she kept yawning…I think you can see her molars in one shot!

How can you resist that face?

Ernie was not in the mood for photos today, he was more interested in chasing Hadleigh around the yard.

Morning light April 17, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 1:10 pm

There is just something so beautiful about the sunlight in the morning that I absolutely love.  I took Ernie out this morning and as usual he was running around like a crazy man…well he ran into the light and I decided that we must go back in and get my camera.

The Danes April 17, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 3:27 am

I absolutely love Great Danes and today I had the opportunity to photograph 3 of them.  They are beautiful animals and I had a lot of fun shooting them.  It was a little different photographing them compared to my dog and my parents bulldog…you can’t exactly pick up and move a Great Dane to your favorite spot in the yard, you kind of have to work with where they decide to sit.  I also got to play around with a fish eye lense today and I think I got some fun images.

This ended up being one of my favorite images.

I really like the color in this image, but I’m going to put the b&w one up as well because I couldn’t decide which one I liked better.

It was a little tough pulling off a shot with all 3…

Henry April 16, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — jesskamm @ 1:52 am

Henry is 4 weeks old today and he is sooo precious.  He and his mom drove all the way from Alabama to have their photo shoot today.  I wanted to try some new stuff in the studio and I was really pleased with what I shot.  Always be prepared when your shooting a baby with no diaper on and a full tummy…extra towels are a must!  You never really know how a shoot is going to go with a newborn…you can plan all the shots you want, but it really depends on what they feel like doing at the time.

He has such a curious expression.

This image was one of my favorites, I love the simplicity of it.

He has such cute expressions in these images.

He started to get tired at the end, but I always love a good crying shot!

Ernie April 14, 2008

I gave Ernie a bath today and as I was brushing his hair I decided that he would look good with a mohawk.  Well…he looked so cute that I decided to take a few natural light pictures of him.  I think he is adorable…but I don’t think he enjoyed me putting my hair gel in his hair!  I love capturing dogs on film…there is just something about their little expressions and personality that just melts my heart.
