Somebody needs to get a haircut this weekend…

I had so much fun shooting Kaiden at his house today, he is so precious…he was just a little over 4 pounds when he was born! Newborn shoots are one of my favorites, especially when you get to shoot them before they are two weeks old….he will be two weeks tomorrow. I went to Ikea and bought some fun baskets and blankets, so we just played around to see what worked best for him. I’ll show you some more images later.

It’s time to give my website and blog a face lift and a punch of color. A couple years ago my colors were brown and aqua, and then I switched to just gray and white and now I think I want to go back to aqua. I still needed one or two more colors, and I couldn’t decide what they should be and that’s when I saw this image on jcrew.com (my favorite store EVER)!!!!! I absolutely love the combo of aqua and chartreuse! My sister in law gave me a pair of chartreuse sweat pants for Christmas that I LOVE and so that is when my obsession began. I’ve almost updated all of the colors on my website, but I haven’t updated my blog yet…my future brother in law is going to do that soon.

Storyboards are finally here!!! These are great when you don’t want to buy a bunch of individual prints, but you want to enjoy a ton of your favorite images. They come in a bunch of different sizes too.

Tyla is 8 months old and completely adorable! I haven’t finished downloading all of the images from our session today, but I just had to share with you some of my favorites so far. I love, love, love shooting at peoples homes in natural light…it makes fantastic pictures. Enjoy!

I just had to show you the cutest present my parents got me for Christmas. I was so excited and surprised when I opened the little box for 2 reasons…(1) I LOVED it because it’s a dog bone necklace with diamonds and (2) I’m never surprised! Ernie was kind enough to hold still and model it for me today.

I was putting up chicken wire in the back yard in a few places where Ernie was escaping and I discovered these mossy looking cones. First, I was excited because green is my favorite color and second I’ve been wanting to do some macro projects. I don’t have a macro lense, so I did the best I could with my 24-70mm. So….here is how it turned out.

I’m just now getting around to posting Jennifer’s maternity shoot from December. I shot this in a loft space I was trying out so we had lots of fun with all the natural light, couches and fun back drops. She’s due any day and I can’t wait to see her new baby girl!

I went to Sarasota, Fl over the weekend for a little R&R with my friend Betsy and we had a fabulous time on the beach at sunset. I had my 5D with a heavy lense on it and I kept asking people if they could take a picture of us and I think it was a little too much camera for some because it was either too heavy or the pictures turned out awful….so, we had to take some of ourselves so here is a little collage I whipped together.
