I’ve been seeing dog silhouettes here and there on different photographers blogs and so I decided to try it myself. I went into my studio yesterday and with the help of my dad, we got a couple good profiles of Hadleigh. After some photoshop work…this is how it turned out. I was talking to a creative friend of mine yesterday and he suggested an easier way to do it. Instead of shooting Hadleigh on gray paper, I should shoot on a green screen. Why didn’t I think of that? It sounds complicated, but it’s really not. Instead of using gray paper, I should use green because it’s easier to make my selections in photoshop that way. I’m going to make doggy notecards using her silhouette, can’t wait to see how they turn out. If they look awesome, then I’m going to start offering a doggy silhouette notecard session to my clients. I’ll show you once I get my cards back from my lab.
